Founded in 2004, Epproach emerged as a pioneer in the multifamily industry, providing community-wide managed WiFi and Internet services to apartment communities in the Southeast. After over a decade in the business, we have established ourselves as a top managed WiFi vendor nationwide for all sectors of the industry, from student housing to retirement communities.
But technology and the needs of residents change rapidly, and the Epproach solution set has reflected those changes. With the same pioneer mindset we began with, we branched out, adding state-of-the-art services for our clients. From mobile mass communication services to IoT-based solutions, Epproach transitioned from a managed WiFi vendor to a full-set technology provider for over 400 communities across the nation.
President & CEO
Marty founded Epproach Communications in 2004 as a pioneering company in the advancement and proliferation of high speed wireless networks. Under his leadership, Epproach has evolved from a dynamic start-up into one of the leading providers of technology amenities for the multifamily space, with customers nationwide. Prior to Epproach, Marty co-founded VisionAir, a software company that created application systems for public safety agencies, later serving as Executive VP of Sales and Marketing. Born and raised in eastern NC, Marty is a proud East Carolina Pirate and lifelong surfer. He enjoys spending time with his wife and their four sons – preferably out on the water.
Vice President of Operations
As VP of Operations, Joe ensures goal-oriented workflow, effective interdepartmental communication, and process-driven results throughout Epproach’s various departments. Prior to joining Epproach in 2010, Joe was a field service technician at HP with over ten years of experience in general network engineering and wireless networking and design. Joe received his B.S. in Business from Wingate University and his Project Management Certification from University of North Carolina – Charlotte. Originally from Greenville, SC, Joe is an avid Clemson football fan who loves to play guitar when he’s away from the office.
Vice President of Sales
As VP of Sales, Wink oversees direct sales team efforts with an emphasis on developing strong partnerships and business relationships. Wink brings valuable insights and industry expertise from his 16-year tenure as Senior Account Executive at Time Warner Cable, where he was responsible for negotiating long-term service agreements with multifamily and single family properties. Wink’s favorite past-time is racing and riding dirtbikes – a lifelong passion he shares with his wife, Kim, and their two children.
Chris Roper Vice President of Products
Chris oversees the creation of new products and services while driving growth and business opportunities for Epproach. Before stepping into his current role, Chris served for four years as our Client Services Manager, where he helped to build a reputation for one of the most respected support teams in the business. Chris has a B.A. in Political Science from University of North Carolina at Wilmington and an M.S. in Public Administration from East Carolina University. Chris and his wife, Kelly, are Wilmington locals who enjoy traveling and spending time with their dog, Peggy. Away from work, you can find Chris at venues both large and small, catching live music acts across the country.
Chief Financial Officer
Jacque is responsible for managing all of the company’s financial, reporting, forecasting, and compliance functions. Jacque has extensive experience in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. She has been a vital part of Epproach’s growth and development since its inception, handling accounting and administrative tasks before coming on-board full-time as CFO in 2014. Jacque is a proud graduate of East Carolina University, where she earned a B.S. in Accounting. In her free time, Jacque loves spending time with her husband and four sons (out of the office).
